We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee small-scale residential construction projects primarily
located on the South Side of the City of Chicago. These projects include scattered-site interior residential renovations
such as full multi-family unit apartments and single family home rehab projects, along with select roofing and cement
porch and walkway repair work. These projects are supported by local municipal, city, and state-funded programs.
This is not your typical 8-hour-per-day Superintendent role. You will rotate across multiple properties, coordinate
subcontractors, ensure quality and progress on site, and serve as a primary point of contact with clients and
stakeholders throughout active construction. Candidates with experience delivering construction projects for
government agencies or publicly funded residential programs, especially those similar to the City of Chicago, Chicago
Housing Authority, HUD, or other housing-related public agencies, will be strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
● Oversee subcontractors, laborers, schedules, and scopes across multiple active residential projects,
effectively managing up to 10 projects at one time across various site locations.
● Ensure quality workmanship, site safety, compliance, and timely progress throughout construction.
● Visit job sites regularly to monitor activity, document progress with photos and reports, and track updates,
challenges, and scheduling.
● Communicate consistently with the company, clients, and field partners while responding quickly to site
needs during active construction
Qualifications:
● 5+ years experience working in residential construction
● 3+ years leading residential construction crews and subcontractors
● Highly Preferred 1+ years experience delivering construction projects for local government agencies
● Ability to coordinate multiple small projects simultaneously.
● Reliable transportation to travel between scattered job sites across Chicago Southside.
● Professional communication and client-facing skills.
