About the Job
The Sr. Superintendent will be responsible to plan and lead all activities occurring on large construction sites and work with the Project Manager for coordination of activities, scheduling, planning, and material procurement. The position requires collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, design teams, clients, and team members to properly plan and execute project activities to ensure delivery of a successful project to our clients. Effective collaboration with Project Managers is essential to the role. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review working drawings including architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, electrical and landscaping plans with respect to details, buildability, alternative methods, conflicts, and dimensions. 
  • Produce three-week forecasts and weekly progress documents. Ensure photos are taken for project weekly. 
  • Oversee an orderly system for maintaining project plans, communication, correspondence and subcontracts. 
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the client, focused on identifying the critical path necessary to meet the owner’s desired schedule. 
  • Review, coordinate, and implement the safety measures and applicable company programs, including toolbox talks, for the project required to conform with OSHA standards and to ensure a safe workplace, maintain and enforce quality cleanliness standards on site. 
  • Review project construction documents and identify required material quantities. Monitor actual project material quantity requirements and keep the company informed of any deviations from the original budgets. 
  • Review project punch list and oversee completion of all project disciplines necessary to receive a certificate of occupancy. 
  • Maintain and manage the jobsite including trailer, signage, material staging, vehicle access, and temporary utility access. 
  • All other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 4-8+ years of experience in construction, preferably in commercial and restaurant projects. 
  • Design/build experience preferred. College education is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) 
  • Strong leadership/management skills and a proven record of building on schedule. 
  • Ability to identify, investigate and quantity project problems and corresponding alternatives and consequences. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, and work productively with others and foster solid client relationships. 
  • Proficient with project software (Procore or equivalent preferred). 
  • Ability to use a computer, the internet, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email software.
