FULLY REMOTE ROLE & MUST HAVE NATURAL GAS EXPERIENCE

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing engineered pipeline construction plans in AutoCad and/or Microstation platforms. Drafters may be responsible for baseline drawings using a variety of inputs including converted MicroStation files, aerial images, utility maps and hand drawn designs. Drawings are predominantly related to pipeline construction which may include civil and mechanical components. Drafters will be required to understand processes and complete drawings to company and client specifications and standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Interpreting tax maps, utility maps and sketches to create base maps in AutoCad or MicroStation. 
  • Manipulating client provided files including layer and line type changes and geo-referencing into drawing file.
  • Modifying drawings as directed by engineer or design coordinator.
  • Assuring all designs follow prescribed processes and are completed according to specifications and quality requirements.
  • Consistently return completed and checked files within allotted timeframe.
  • Communicate clearly with design coordinators regarding questions, allowable hours, and allowable timeframe and any anticipated delays in project schedule.
