About the Job
The Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical components and systems according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. This role supports production goals by ensuring electrical assemblies meet quality, safety, and performance standards. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Assemble electrical and electro-mechanical components, panels, and subassemblies according to schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and termination of connectors, terminals, and control devices.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Test and inspect completed assemblies for proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose wiring issues, component failures, or assembly errors.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment such as multimeters and continuity testers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including test results and rework.
  • Follow safety procedures, ESD requirements, and quality standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
  • Experience building control panels or industrial electrical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with PLC wiring, VFDs, sensors, and relays • IPC/WHMA-A-620 or similar electrical assembly certification.
  • Experience working in a lean or continuous improvement environment.
  • All other duties as assigned. 
Education and Core Skills: 
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or vocational training preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in electrical assembly or related manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles (AC/DC, voltage, current, resistance).
  • Experience using hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, and electrical test equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
